Diner En Blanc West Palm Beach 2019

Hunty!!! Let me tell you how I experienced Le Diner En Blanc for the first time to close out 2019.  And of course I did it in true frugal fashion.  My entire look cost under $45 and we pooled our resources to create an elegant looking dining experience for under $40 as well!

Le Diner en Blanc is a worldwide event spanning six continents where people come together dressed in white from head to toe and have a pop up style picnic dinner.  Everyone is required to provide their own food, tables, chairs and tablecloths (Diner en Blanc West Palm Beach provided tables & chairs for us this year…yassss hunty!).

The event is top secret and by invitation only.  You don’t even know where you are going until the day of! If you’re interested, make sure you visit the Diner En Blanc website and get on the waiting list for next year.

So about this look….

This dress was purchased before I even knew I was invited to this event lol.  I had already said THIS was the year I was attending and when I saw it a few months ago on clearance in my beloved Ross I had to have it.  It was everything I wanted my first Diner en Blanc experience to be… elegant, classy and sassy.  Cost: $9.99  My shoes were also purchased from Ross at $15.99.

Isn’t my purse cute y’all?! So I found it and the cover up I’m wearing at World Thrift for $4 each.  There was a stain on the purse that I couldn’t get out so, I had to embellish it.

Lastly y’all… this fascinator is my favorite thing! Everyone thought it was a hat however it is a clip (also has a headband attachment) that I found on Amazon.

Now for the table, we used items we already had on hand and others from Amazon, thrift stores, Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, Joann and Michaels to complete the look.  The florals came from Michaels in the winter clearance section.  The napkins came from Amazon. The basket, china and silverware were “blue” items at Good Life Super Thrift which gave me 65% off.

And of course for my picnic style meal, I went to my beloved Aldi and picked up cheese cubes, crackers, grapes, olive salad, chicpea salad and a baguette.

When I tell y’all I had a BLAST! My crew was LIT. I’m grateful to my handsome ass hubby for making sure we attended this year! Special thanks to Cheryl & Crystal for taking care of all the logistics.

Make sure you get on that waiting list in the country of your choice for 2020!
