One man’s trash

So ok today we’re gonna talk repurposing.

Let me just put it out there… if it’s not on sale or clearance I probably wont buy it and I live to thrift.

In my area we have Goodwill, of course, and a couple of other thrift stores I frequent such as American Thrift, Good Life Super Thrift and World Thrift.

Since I’ve started crafting I go more often because there is always some type of wood or glass that I can repurpose.

Like these wooden signs:

Together they cost me $3 and change. They originally had colorful letters that read “Chad” and “Chase” which I’ve removed to sand it down. I plan to paint them and jazz them up to sell.

I was recently introduced to OfferUp and of course I love it. I was able to create the perfect home office space complete with a $25 cherry L shaped desk (with a hutch I never put together and additional storage cabinet) and a $15 desk chair. My old desk has now become storage for my heat press and my work area.

And tonight I went to good will hoping to find a large wooden picture frame that I can use for my corkboard project BUT no luck… yet.

However, let me tell y’all how I spotted some super cute black wedge shoes that I thought would be perfect for work. Tried them on and they fit. It wasn’t until I was taking them off that I noticed the logos on them😳. Coach shoes for $5.99! A steal.

As they’ve always said, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure but please note that this DOES NOT apply to human beings…. chile trash is trash, ok?
