Now this one right here is a wild ride, and I mean that in the best way possible.
Tyme is a rida for real. From the jump, you know she ain’t the one to play with. She crashes her ex-fiancé’s wedding and sets it the fuck off, and honestly? I wasn’t mad at her one bit. 🤷🏾♀️ I’m shocked the book didn’t open with “I guess you want to know how I ended up here” because the way she went OFF at Malachi’s wedding was top tier.
She ends up arrested, and the one person she would never in life expect to bond her out does exactly that. Midnight. Malachi’s twin brother. The one she absolutely LOATHES. You see where this is going, right? Lol
Not only do they have history, they have chemistry, and both of them try to fight it. But baby, from the moment they’re in close quarters, it is undeniably charged. He concocts a plan for her to use him as her pretend man to make Malachi jealous, posting on social media for the world to see.
Their first public outing is a NYE party. Let me preface that by saying at 12:01, that event stops being a regular party and turns into don’t ask, don’t tell.
Tyme had no clue and was mortified. But the sexual tension between these two could no longer be denied. I was annoyed every single time either of them refused to give in. And when they finally did? There was no turning back.
Now, I expected to not like Midnight based on how Tyme painted him, but he ended up being my favorite character in the whole book. Go figure🤷🏾♀️
What follows is a roller coaster of emotions, family drama, and intimacy that is officially the chain. @authorbellajay takes you through every emotion as Tyme gets her lick back and Midnight completely transforms on the page.
Listen… I’m not one to encourage anybody to break the bro or girl code, but this one right here? Fully enjoyed it.
And on another note, I highly, highly, and another highly recommend the audiobook.
Let’s just say…Mr. Emmanuel Ingram definitely talks you through it. 😜👏🏾
