Let me keep it real. I had no clue who Harlan Coben was and my first and only introduction to him was the Netflix series “Fool Me Once”. No spoilers but baby, that series is INSANE.
I have yet to read the actual book Fool Me Once, but after binging the series last year and when I tell you I was invested, that is an understatement.
So when I heard a book two was coming, I was ready. It just wasn’t available when I went looking for it, and honestly, the wait was worth it. Once I sarted listening, I simply could not stop.
Nobody’s Fool is a thriller in every sense of the word. Kierce was already my favorite character coming out of the series, and I went into this one wanting to know more about him and Nicole. What I did not expect was the level of twists, secrets, and mind games that came with entering his world fully. Harlan Coben has a way of making you feel like you have it figured out and then pulling the floor from under you, and this book is a masterclass in exactly that.
I truly did not see the ending coming. My jaw was on the floor.
For anyone who hasn’t read Fool Me Once yet, I’ve seen that this book is a sequel the Netflix series rather than the actual book, you may want to watch before reading.
Well done, Mr. Coben. I’m hoping this is not the end of Kierce’s journey. 10/10
