I had zero idea what I was walking into when I first picked up this series. The Danger Brothers kept coming up in my reading groups with women absolutely unhinged over these men, and now? I understand. I fully understand.
Let me start with Tempted by Danger and that damn Dymon.
From the moment he showed up on the page, I was locked in. This man carried himself like he already knew the outcome of every room he walked into, and honestly, he wasn’t wrong.
What made his story work was Quinci. She walked into his office like she owned it and became the assistant of his nightmares. She wasn’t the type to fold, and that fire in her was exactly what Dymon didn’t know he needed.
Their sexual tension was the kind that makes you keep reading past your bedtime.
The twists kept the story unpredictable and the world-building pulled me in immediately. 10/10
So after I was introduced to Dymon and just knew he was my favorite of the Danger Brothers… Diesel stepped up and said “lil mama lemme holla at chu real quick.”
Chile. A menace.
A gorgeous, infuriating, ultra-sexy menace.
The god complex energy runs strong in the Danger bloodline and somehow it works every time.
Captivated by Danger took me through every emotion watching him and Greysen navigate a situationship that had no business being that intense.
***Non sexual turn on: men that know exactly what they want, don’t play about their woman and just dgaf.
What I love most about @endiyacarter’s writing style is that she doesn’t stop at physical attraction. She goes deeper, into the emotional psychology of her characters, and that’s what makes the connection feel real.
The family dynamics woven throughout also filled in gaps from the first book in the best way.
After this one, it was settled. Diesel is my man.
Just in case he’s lurking over here oh, hi hubby 😬😘
10000000000/10
And then Declan completely flipped everything I thought I knew.
I’ll be honest, I slept on him. Read him as the weakest link through the first two books. But chileeeeee, he most definitely had other plans in Intrigued by Danger.
Watching his layers peel back to reveal a man fully in tune with his emotions, unbothered and unapologetic about it, was one of the most satisfying character reveals I’ve read in a while.
He’s the only Danger brother without the arrogance, but he has every reason to have it and that might make him the most dangerous one of all. The Elle reveal? I was not prepared. Elle is Greysen’s person so she was very present in Book 2. But this side of her recontextualized so much and made the whole series feel even more intentional.
This series is deeply interconnected in a way that rewards readers who go book by book. @endiyacarter built something layered, steamy, emotionally rich, and genuinely fun.
In my Yonce voice 🎤🎶”10/10/10s across the board”
I said all of this to say…. there is ONLY Diesel 🥵😜. STILL lol
