Y’all! First of all… Hendrix deserves ALL the things! She’s been my favorite character in the series since book 1.
She reminds me of myself a lil too much! Hen is truly a girl’s girl and is always rooting for everybody. She’s the bestie that gets the party started, don’t care what comes out of her mouth and gon’ always ride for hers. It was time for somebody to root for her.
Can’t Get Enough is book 3 of the Skyland series and follows Hendrix Berry, a successful businesswoman, caretaker to her mother with Alzheimer’s, and quietly longing for something more. Enter Maverick Bell. Wealthy, fine ass tech bro. Mesmerized by Hen the first time he lays eyes on her, and the feeling is mutual. The chemistry between these two is insane from jump.
But it’s complicated. Maverick recently ended a three year relationship with Ziare, a woman Hendrix is currently working with on a major project. He should be off limits and Hen makes that crystal clear because she refuses to mess up her bag. Maverick just dgaf tho. He is a beta, emotionally intelligent, nurturing, supportive, collaborative, but when it comes to what he wants? Full alpha. He lets Hen know straight up that he always gets his way. And do!
Their connection is magnetic and cannot be denied no matter how hard she tries. He does not back down and eventually Hen has no choice but to submit, no matter the cost. And oh, the cost. 😬 They’ve both made enemies but let’s just say Maverick has her back, front, sides, and don’t play about her. Not even a little.
The way Kennedy Ryan wrote this one though?! I literally smiled and giggled like a lil girl throughout. The love and care he has for her. The way he is with her mother. The mutual family bonds. Their bond in general. That chemistry is insane. And the sex? Whewww chile🔥.
Y’all I’m probably gon’ blush any time I hear “wha gwan” for the rest of my life behind this book 😂.
What I love most about Kennedy Ryan is the way she takes complex subject matters, child loss, autism, caretaking, and is so transparent and delicate when weaving them into her story. They never feel like an afterthought, or something skimmed over. This book is no different.
This was my FAVORITE of the three. I am literally smiling ear to ear writing this thinking about the way Maverick treats her and how Hen finally feels safe and seen enough to be soft.
Now if you know me, you know I belong to DIESEL Danger. But umm. Maverick. Maverick. Maverick. 👀
TW: Alzheimer’s, caretaking, betrayal
Rating: Kennedy Ryan really said let Hendrix have every damn thing and I fully agree.
