Aiight so I got real caught up in Truce and Sanai’s three books so I kinda forgot to review this one, which was actually the first one I read not knowing it was yet another interconnected series by different authors. Welcome to Indigo Falls.
Ok so boom. Trinity is a go getter. She’s no nonsense, in tune with her body as well as her wants and needs. She was new to Indigo Falls and hit the bar to find someone to meet those needs. He was trash. She was a plus sized hottie so the minute she let him know it would never happen again, he resorted to name calling. She was so frustrated from not getting a release that she decided to hit the gym to work it off. Trinity was a plus size fitness trainer with after hours VIP access to Remedy Wellness Center. She was one of three people in there initially, then it was just her and a fine ass brother. He was watching her, she was watching him.
Trinity was so caught up he had to rescue her from the squat rack. He offered to help her work out anytime and she didn’t realize she was actually verbalizing her freaky thoughts out loud. Baby, ol’ boy heard her loud and clear and said say less. They went at it in the middle of the damn gym. The fact that he then picked her up like a twig and put his face all in it had Trinity spent. The intense connection she felt afterwards made her damn near run out of there without even acknowledging him trying to figure out what was wrong.
Enter Remedy St. Clair, owner of Remedy Wellness Center and personal trainer. He and one of his trainers Chessley had a lil somethin going on until he found out she was engaged and put a stop to their trysts. She still had a thing for him but he couldn’t fire her for fear of a lawsuit. His brother Raheim handled his finances and was annoyed at the cleaning bill they got, only to find out his brother had sex all over the machines which prompted the cleaning. Remedy was stuck on Trinity and had no way of finding her since they didn’t even exchange names.
Apparently Remedy had a meeting the following day with a fitness influencer with her own brand named… you guessed it, Trinity Harris. Determined to learn about this woman he checked her social media, recognized the logo, did further inspection and confirmed that this was indeed the woman he had been stuck on since their encounter.
So of course she arrives for the meeting and the minute she hears him say “Ms. Harris” the memories came flooding back as he introduced himself with a “nice to meet you.” After an intense meeting and a passionate kiss, Remedy left the ball in Trinity’s court for continuing their relationship both inside and outside of business. Her bestie China kept hyping her up over the next month and Trinity finally gave in.
Once again the sex was amazing but Trinity’s trauma had her believing men only wanted one thing from her so she tried pushing him away after. Remedy told her all he needed was one date to prove to her otherwise. Welp, that date ended up being taking her to a concert featuring her favorite artist and more intimate moments.
Needless to say, Chessley went out of her way to be a bitch to Trinity once she picked up on the fact that Remedy was in fact serious about her. Every chance she got she threw it in Trinity’s face that her body was what Remedy wanted and not some big girl. But Remedy made sure everybody, especially Trinity, knew how he was coming about her. The man bought her a house before he even told her he loved her lol. Be for fuckin real!
Remedy was the definition of she don’t want no puppy, she want a big dog. Trinity was SHOOK and I love that for her.
I loved getting to know Remedy and Trinity. Their chemistry was unmatched from day one and I just loved how he made sure she knew his intentions in all ways. This book also introduced both Truce and Taj who have their own books. My disappointment comes from the fact that there is no part two even though the ending made it seem like another book was coming about Raheim. Truce has 3 books and Taj has two so this was a letdown. Overall this was a good read, I just wanted more.
Rating: Remedy knew exactly wtf he wanted and how he was comin’ ’bout it. He made sure Trinity did too.
